Instructions for use
General Instructions
Flamex is applied as a second layer over a dry anti-corrosion coating applied as a primary layer to protect the metal surface.. Chemical and mechanical impurities must be removed from the surface of the anti-corrosion coating. The anti-corrosion coating (primary layer) must be compatible with Flamex. Use appropriate degreasing agents (combination of compatible PAMs and solvents) to remove impurities.
Usage on steel surfaces
Flamex is applied to a completely dry layer of a compatible anti-corrosion coating after surface preparation
Non-ferrous metal surfaces such as galvanized sheets can be protected by applying a completely dry layer of a primary anti-corrosion coating suitable for this type of surface.
Flamex is used in the supplied form. The product must be mixed well before use with a suitable mixer. If necessary, dilute the product with 3 to 5% demi water.
Application
Application agents
Flamex can be applied with a brush, roller or air less applicator. For more detailed information on the characteristics of air less devices, contact the manufacturer.
Conditions for application
The coating is most successfully applied in dry weather in conditions of low or moderate humidity. Ambient application conditions: air up to 80% humidity and min +5 ° C Substrate temperature min +5 ° C Prevention of surface condensation: the surface temperature should be at least 2 ° C above the dew point of the ambient air.

Application procedure
The required thickness of the coating to achieve the required degree of fire protection for a particular type of metal profile is provided by the manufacturer.
